RMS Titanic

The RMS Titanic, perhaps the world's most well-known ship, sank during its maiden voyage in 1912 and has since been remembered as one of the world's greatest failures.

Details

She would be the "unthinkable" ship, the safest and most incredible ocean-going evaporator of all time. But on April 14-15, 1912, the Titanic collided with an iceberg, during its maiden voyage from South Hampton to New York. Of the 2225 people on board, only about 750 survived.

There were only lifeboats for half of the travelers and these were never filled up. Titanic's fate stands as an eternal reminder of how important honesty is and how its opposite can have brutal consequences.
